Introduced in may 2015, aromatic base notes of white musk and vetiver create subtle undertones that mix with secondary scents of neroli and almond. Fresh top notes of pink pepper, grapefruit, bergamot and orange complete the fresh yet woody scent that works well in the office or for an evening out. Although this fragrance is new, Guerlain is hardly new to the industry. Founded by Pierre-Francois Pascal in 1828, the french perfume house has been in operation for more than 175 years and has created nearly 350 unique fragrances for men and women.
The company was passed from family member to family member until 1994, at which point Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy acquired it. However, family members continue to work with the brand as consultants. The company owns a flagship boutique in Paris that is renovated and reopened in 2005. Today, it also operates as a museum. Guerlain continues to release new fragrances in collaboration with names such as Christine Nagel, Delphine Jelk and Annick Menardo.
