Love In Idleness by Atkinsons, Launched in 2015, Love in Idleness is a Chypre Floral fragrance for women that features powdery and floral accords. Chypre scents are known for their zesty citrus tops that contrast with the warm, mossy, and woody notes of the base. This scent is no different.

In fact, its opening notes of raspberry, violet, and violet leaf catch the nose off guard. Then, the heart of the fragrance opens to a floral blend of iris flower and heliotrope. The base offsets the scent’s opening and heart by offering a fragrant bitterness with moss and patchouli. It retains both a moderate sillage and moderate longevity, allowing you a signature scent without forcing it upon your companions.

The scent was released by Atkinsons, a famous perfume brand based out of Italy. First opened in London in 1799, the perfume company began designing scents for the English royal family in the 1820s. The perfumer has been in business for over 200 years, the most recent scent being from 2018.
