The top notes field a marvelous collection of lemon, cardamom, aldehydes, bergamot, lime, lavender and green notes. The heart notes are patchouli, carnation, orris root, vetiver, jasmine, rose and cedar. The base notes finish the drydown with honey, tobacco, tonka bean, heliotrope, vanilla, musk and oakmoss.
Under the protection of Queen Juliane Marie, the Danish porcelain company Royal Copenhagen was founded in 1775. Frantz Heinrich Müller, a chemist, was given a 50-year monopoly to make porcelain, with the first pieces going to the royal family. The factory mark is a crown riding atop three wavy blue lines that represent Denmark’s three seas: Kattegat, Skagerrak and Nordsøen.
