It starts off with a manly soapiness, comprised of lemon, lime, pepper and carnation. Heart notes of aromatic lavender, spearmint and exotic spices like cumin add an animalic tinge. Warm base notes of light musk and woody sandalwood finish this wholly masculine fragrance.
This cologne was created for Jovan, by chemist Murray Muscona. The company has been a leader in the field of fragrance since its release. The legendary tag line suggested that “[it] brought more men and women together than any other fragrance in history.” Though the scent evokes nostalgia, it is still popular among new generations of men. Today, the company is owned by Coty, but still retains its original name.
