Astringent lemon and invigorating mint mark the top notes of this fragrance, creating a tart and sugary accord that adds an air of mischief to the wearer. Jasmine and peony, florals redolent with freshness, are rounded by rosy pink pepper in the body of the perfume, harmonizing with the volatile top notes to add complexity to the aroma. The combined work of acclaimed perfumers Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo and Loc Dong, Acqua di Gioia hit the markets in 2010 as the summer showrunner for the Giorgio Armani fashion house. Earning his design chops under the famed Nino Cerruti, Italian-born Giorgio built his luxury brand first as a fashion house in the late 1970s, later adding fragrances as a flagship for the brand in 1981.
