English Laundry No. 7 Perfume by English Laundry, English Laundry No. 7 introduced its first women’s fragrance in 2010. The sweet fruitiness of the opening notes features pear, melon and apricot blended with a bit of jasmine.

Although the fragrance starts of intensely sweet (think of the Mexican beverage horchata), the rich, middle notes of gardenia and almond warm things up for a more lasting fragrance. The final notes of vanilla, whipped cream and sandalwood round out the scent profile nicely by keeping it light and comforting. It’s a creamy, slightly nutty finish that balances the sweetness of the fruits. This is a scent to wear when you want someone close to you to feel enveloped in softness and the scents of home.

English Laundry is a relative newcomer to the fragrance industry, launching its line of men’s and women’s fragrances in 2010. Since then, the fragrance guru Christopher Wicks has developed over a dozen signature scents for the perfumer.
