Antaeus by Chanel, Antaeus is a men’s woody chypre fragrance with woody, smoky, leather, balsamic, and aromatic main accords. It has heavy to enormous sillage and long lasting to very long-lasting longevity.

Launched in 1981, this scent was created by Grasse-trained Jacques Polge, the head perfumer at Chanel from 1978 to 2015. Myrrh and clary sage lead the top notes, along with bergamot, coriander, Amalfi lemon, and lime. Rose dominates the heart notes, with contributions from jasmine, basil, and thyme. Castoreum rules the base notes, followed by French labdanum, oakmoss, and patchouli.
