It Is Love Perfume by Salvador Dali, It Is Love starts off sweet with top notes of grapefruit and pomegranate. The heart of this perfume is characterized by floral undertones, including iris and rose, blended with the more unique notes of immortelle and narcissus. At this perfume’s base, its woody accord is accentuated by amber and sandalwood with added notes of musk to round it out fully. This fragrance made its debut in 2008.

Artist Salvador Dali is most notable for his surrealist paintings and was perhaps the first artist to launch a line of fragrances. The source of his interest was his wife Gala, who was an avid perfume collector. He designed his first bottle in 1981 after completing a painting of Aphrodite, drawing inspiration from her luscious lips. The luxurious combination of art and fragrance was meant to be a limited edition, but its success led to a whole line of perfumes and colognes reflecting his artwork.
