B Balenciaga by Balenciaga, B Balenciaga is a women’s woody aromatic fragrance that was created by perfumer Domitille Bertier of International Flavors and Fragrances in 2014. With soft to moderate sillage and moderate longevity, this scent has woody, ozonic, and floral main accords. Spring daywear is the most recommended time to use this perfume.
The flacon has a pink marbled appearance, reminiscent of Balenciaga’s marble floor in its Paris salon. Violet leaf, pea, and lily-of-the-valley lead the top notes, with cedar and orris middle notes following along. The base notes are comprised of ambrette and cashmere wood.
Balenciaga is a Spanish fashion house founded by Cristobal Balenciaga in 1919. The first stores were initially located in Spain, but the Spanish Civil War forced him to close and move to Paris, France. He gained fame for his architectural designs after World War Ii and continued his work until his retirement in 1968. Jacques Bogart S.A. acquired the rights to Balenciaga in 1986 and relaunched a ready-to-wear line under the name. Kering now owns the brand, with Coty creating fragrances in partnership.
