Fantasme by Ted Lapidus for Women

Fantasme by Ted Lapidus, Fruits and florals take center stage with Fantasme.

This sweet, powdery fragrance was released in 1992 with top notes of peach, bergamot, pineapple, green notes, and violet. At the heart are notes of raspberry, damask rose, lily-of-the-valley, orris root, and jasmine. Bringing woody notes to the blend at the base are vanilla, sandalwood, cedar, and musk. The lingering pleasurable scents made for women compliment any casualwear, day or night.

At the young age of 22, Edmond “Ted” Lapidus began his company after completing his apprenticeship with Christian Dior. The French designer found his footing in the 1960s with unisex fashions, adding details with safari and military themed designs. He’s often credited for helping blue jeans become the mainstream icon they are today.

Ted Lapidus designed for both stars and the public. Average households found fashion more affordable through mass marketing the brand utilized. In 1970, he teamed with L’Oreal to offer fragrances.
