Bayolea by Penhaligon's, First released in 2014 by the British perfume house Penhaligon's, Bayolea for men is a deliciously balanced, invigorating citrus aromatic scent that puts a fresh twist on traditional cologne composition.

The top notes are an energizing, inviting blend of tart, honeyed mandarin orange and tangerine, underscored by the intense ginger and herbal facets of fresh-cut lemongrass. The intensity of the opening dries down quickly, overtaken by a crisp, clean floral and spice heart. Classic tones of bittersweet neroli, licorice and lavender interfuse with the earthy and sweet aromatics of black pepper and cardamom. Base notes of hazy-sweet patchouli, sandalwood and amber blend with the clean, woodsy accords of oak moss and cedar to produce a rich, satisfying finish that persists for hours.

William Penhaligon first founded his eponymous fragrance house in 1870. Today the company continues to draw inspiration from techniques and ingredients used in traditional perfumery to produce modern masterpieces. Scents are presented in clear glass bottles wrapped simply with a ribbon, an homage to the original packaging design.
