The name of the brand is printed in black at the top of the label over the name of the fragrance in darker lavender near the base. A Prussian merchant founded Acca Kappa in Italy in 1869.

The company originally specialized in brushes and began releasing fragrances in the late 1990s. This scent was introduced in 2010.
