L'eau De Paille Perfume by Serge Lutens, L'eau De Paille, which translates from the French to ‘hay water’, is a dry and warm scent that was introduced in 2016. It has a versatility that makes it appealing to both sexes and it is ideal for any occasion. Described by the brand as a fragrance ‘for those who don’t like getting wet’ it has notes that include hay, vetiver and incense.
Serge Lutens was established by the artist of the same name in 2000. He was born in 1942, in Lille, France and dreamt of being an actor as a child. At the age of 14 he worked at a hair salon and soon became interested in photography and cosmetics. It was after working with other designers that included Shisheido and Christian Dior and freelancing as a make-up artist for Vogue Magazine that he decided to launch his own label. The company now sells fragrances and cosmetics across the world.
