Top notes initiate the earthy smell with coriander, cumin, and herbaceous. Contrasting the savory scents, nutmeg contributes a sweet, pine smell. Blanche Arvoy founded the fragrance house Jovoy Paris in 1923. The next year, she created a brand called Corday to release her fragrances, but she switched back to the original brand in the early 1960s.
