Madame Perfume by Jean Paul Gaultier, Madame’s distinctive pink bottle features a dress form embossed into the front, but that’s not the only way in which this fragrance is unique and cutting-edge.
Its combination of fruity, sweet, citrus and woodsy accords has a decidedly youthful vibe. Created by perfumer Francis Kurdijian in 2008, the scent blends the heady aroma of rose and sensual tones of musk with cedar, sour orange and the bitter, tart essence of grenadine. The result is a juicy and intoxicating perfume with an intensity all its own.
Fashion mogul Jean Paul Gaultier arrived on the scene in the late 1970s, unashamedly innovating with daring offerings like his men’s skirts and Madonna’s iconic cone bra worn on her Blonde Ambition tour. Releasing his first fragrance in 1993, he would follow up with more than 100 new colognes and perfumes, including 2018’s Classique Eau Fraîche André Edition. Perfumers who have created scents for the label include Olivier Cresp, Daphne Bugey and Jacques Cavallier.
