Mancera The Aoud Perfume by Mancera, A bold unisex fragrance released in 2011 by Pierre Montale, Mancera The Aoud carries class and distinction with a vibrant, long-lasting warmth that is perfect for cool autumn or winter evenings.
Deeply comforting even from the start, this oriental woodsy perfume takes its name from the signature oud (or agarwood) that serves as its foundation. Bergamot, cinnamon, cloves and white pepper assemble into a zesty warm-spicy accord at the onset, with the middle notes providing a rich core of rose, geranium and saffron. The base adds sophistication and comfort for hours after application, with cedar and sandalwood alongside the notes of oud and accents of leather and white musk on top.
Captivated by the sensual richness of oud and its widespread use in perfumery in Saudi Arabia, Pierre Montale founded Mancera in 2008 on his return to Paris. The oriental wood features prominently in many of the brand’s fragrances, along with other high quality materials and ingredients. These accords are juxtaposed with the Art Deco-themed flacons and packaging designed by his daughter, Amélie.
