Ofresia by Diptyque, A masterful, bright, floral scent, Ofresia is a tribute to the fresh, piquant, attention-grabbing freesia flower.

The fragrance opens with a sharp, bracing note of black pepper. This heady spice is powerful and heightens the scent’s floral middle notes of carnation and white freesia. Freesia, which sits at the fragrance’s heart, and is one of the most distinctive floral notes in all of perfumery. It is known for its contradictory scent profile and can be described as subtle, yet powerful, fresh and intoxicatingly potent. Freesia does not produce an extractable essential oil. Instead, it is synthesized, usually with additional green notes.

Carnation and guaiac wood round out the composition in the base of this particular scent. Visionary French perfumer Olivia Giacobetti created this scent for Diptyque, which launched the fragrance in 1999. Moderate longevity and sillage make it an excellent fragrance for any occasion. Dewy and crisp, it’s a perfect scent for spring and summer.
