The French fashion design house of Georges Rech has been creating luxury clothing since 1962. The goal was to make high fashion more accessible to the average consumer. The brand is best known for its attention to detail, rich materials and elegant framing. In 1990, the founder, Rech, retired from his eponymous company and sold it to the English business Courtaulds which in turn was acquired by the Sara Lee Corporation in 1997. However, in 2005, the ready-to-wear group Apostrophe took control of the brand where ownership continues to reside today.
