Francis Kurkdjian is the nose behind this particular fragrance, and he is also the mastermind behind Maison Francis Kurkdjian. He is an Armenian perfumer who won the Prix Francois Coty in 2001 for his lifetime of work in the fragrance industry. Although he has worked in the industry for many years, he did not create his own brand house until 2009. He co-founded the business with Marc Chaya, and it has gone on to become a major player in the perfumer industry.

The company is considered a niche designer. In addition to receiving the Prix Francois Coty, he has earned numerous other awards, including Cosmetique Magazin’s Best Perfumer of the Year in 2008 and Breakthrough Product of the Year in 2009.
