Rare Veni Perfume by Histoires De Parfums, In the spirit of Julius Caesar’s infamous quote, “Veni, vedi, vici” (I came, I saw, I conquered), the brazen scent Rare Veni celebrates important encounters, whether it be a journey of self-discovery or travel to a new land.
Introduced in 2012, the fragrance begins its odyssey with top notes of such gentle spices as cinnamon, lavender, cardamom and galbanum. The fruity and dark sweetness of middle notes tagette and saffron meld with the earthiness of guaiac wood. Finally, base notes of caramel, musk, benzoin, oakmoss, amber and patchouli envelop you in warmth for a grounding sense of home, no matter what path your feet have taken.
French fragrance house Histoires deParfums was established in 2000 by perfumer Gerald Ghislain. The perfumer created eight fragrances to pay homage to such notable historical figures as Casanova, Jules Verne and Mata Hari, each scent named simply by the year in which the inspirational person was born. Many of their fragrances take a deeply artistic and philosophical look at love, music, literature and flowers.
