Sander by Jil Sander for Men

Sander by Jil Sander, Presented in 2000, Sander is a men’s woody spicy cologne with fresh spicy, green, woody, aromatic, and warm spicy main accords. It leads with head notes of Brazilian mint and ivy leaf, followed by middle notes of cardamom and coriander. Cypress, red cedar, and cashmere wood complete this composition. The fragrance wears best during the day in the spring through fall months. It has moderate longevity and sillage.

Jil Sander is a fashion designer who opened her first boutique in Hamburg, Germany in 1967. She sold fashions by Sonia Rykiel and Thierry Mugler, as well as her own. Her first collection was launched in 1973, with her fashion house established in 1978. Her clothes are known for their minimalist designs and precision cuts.

Her brand launched its first men’s and women’s fragrances in 1979 and has worked with Coty on fragrance production. Though Sander retired in 2000, she has periodically returned to provide creative direction to the brand, which is now owned by Onward Holdings Co. Ltd, a Japanese fashion conglomerate.
