The heart is where you get geranium, lavender and juniper berries. The base closes everything out with scents of vetiver, oak moss and leather. The Animale brand was founded by Suzanna de Lyon in 1987. A few years later, the founder filed for bankruptcy, and the company was acquired by Parlux in 1990. In 2004, the brand was sold again.

The company is based out of Indonesia, and in addition to fragrances, the company has also gotten into fashion. Many fragrances have been designed by the company, and many of the brand's offerings were developed by Michel Gouges and Loc Dong.
