This unisex fragrance epitomizes haute couture. The opening notes of its composition include angelica, musk, black pepper, mandarin orange and pink pepper. The core notes are artemisia, plum and jasmine. Lastly, the base consists of patchouli, incense, suede and white musk.

Madame Alix Gres was born in Paris, France, and at the beginning of her career, she wanted to become a sculptor. After this, she discovered a passion for hat-making. This allowed her to launch her own brand house called Alex Couture, which came into being in 1934. She would go on to design luxurious gowns, and her style quickly became synonymous with luxury. She would go on to release apparel for members of the aristocracy and royal families. She continued manufacturing her own garments throughout World War Ii, and after the war was over, she began getting into the art of perfumery and launched Parfums Gres.
