Shaal Nur by Etro, Launched in 1997 and named after an Indian princess, Shaal Nur is a warm and vibrant oriental perfume full of life, an aromatic accord combining rich woody notes with enchanting flowers, vivid spices and fresh citruses and greens.

The opening delivers invigorating lemon, mandarin, grapefruit and bergamot balanced by coriander. The floral-green heart features both familiar and exotic notes - a clean, curiously sweet-spicy blend of tarragon, rosemary, thyme and petitgrain joined by rose and karo-karounde, a West African flower with a peppery accent. Spices and incense stand out in the woody base: chief among them is the honeyed balsamic aroma of opoponax, also called sweet myrrh, along with nutmeg, patchouli and rosewood.
