Married couple Thomas and Ruth Méaulle founded Orlov Paris back in 2015. They combined the words “our love” to come up with a name for the brand. Fittingly, Orlov is also the name of a famous Russian diamond. Ruth Méaulle’s family has spent generations in the diamond industry, and she brought her love for this gemstone into the perfume company.

All of the fragrances are thus named after and inspired by famous diamonds. In recent years, the brand has emphasized the concept of rebirth. It thus hired noses such as Olivier Pescheux and Dorothée Piot to look at the diamonds that inspired the company's original collection and produce entirely new fragrances.
