Jai Ose Perfume by Guy Laroche, Jai Ose debuted in 1977 from Guy Laroche. The French name means “I dared” or “I ventured” and this scent’s staying power and sensual feel lend itself to an evening out.

The base notes of oakmoss, amber and musk provide a powdery, sweet smell. The middle notes of sandalwood, patchouli, orris root, jasmine, vetiver, cedar and rose are simple and subdued, but create a green heart that is floral and slightly bitter. The top notes of coriander and peach provide a citrus burst and a sweet aroma. The fragrance is suited for the autumn or winter, as it has strong, long-lasting sillage that is refined like an elegant woman.

The sophisticated nose behind this perfume is Max Gavarry, a celebrated perfumer from the birthplace of the contemporary fragrance industry in Grasse, France. Gavarry’s grandfather cultivated lavender and his father was a gardener. His focus is on the construction and technique behind crafting a pleasing scent.
