The Eight & Bob perfume house has a rather unique backstory. Albert Fouquet was the son of a French aristocrat, and enjoyed making cologne for his own use. His fragrances were popular among his friends, but he had no interest in marketing them. This changed when he met and befriended John F. Kennedy in 1937. Jfk was captivated by his cologne and requested eight samples plus one for "Bob." Fouquet named the fragrance in honor of this request, and watched it grow in popularity among Hollywood elite.
