xArchives 69 Perfume by Etat Libre D'orange, Archives 69 was introduced in 2011. It is named after the address of the brand’s headquarters in Paris, France and is described by them as being their ‘essence’. It is a romantic perfume with a variety of notes that make it perfect for men and women. The balance of fruits and spices make it ideal for any occasion.
The scent opens with pink berries, tangerine and pepper leaf. The heart notes are incense, prune and orchid and the base notes consist of benzoin, musk, patchouli and camphor.
Etienne de Swardt founded Etat Libre d’Orange in 2006. He was born in 1970, in Pretoria, South Africa and moved to France in his twenties, where he launched the brand. The name means ‘the Orange Free State’ and celebrates its philosophy of independence with this fragrance specifically celebrating ‘the scent of sensual liberation’. The company sells its perfumes worldwide and all of them have fun names.
