Choc De Cardin Perfume by Pierre Cardin, Choc de Cardin by French fragrance house Pierre Cardin is a striking chypre floral fragrance for women. Choc was designed by perfumer Francoise Caron and launched in 1981.
The opening notes are brisk and refreshing, interfusing aldehydes with bright fruit, citrus and herbal tones: ripe peach, lemon, cut basil leaf and bergamot. A subtly intoxicating white floral and rose accord emerges as the scent warms on the skin, mingling jasmine and lily-of-the-valley with violet-tinged orris root and honey. The final dry down is bold, rich and undeniably sexy, combining creamy sandalwood, amber and patchouli with civet and oakmoss to produce a sensual feminine finish that's irresistible.
Pierre Cardin was born in San Biagio di Callalta, Italy in 1922, and founded his French fashion house in 1950. The house released its first fragrance, Pour Monsieur, in 1972, in partnership with Coty. Perfume designers who have collaborated with the brand include Francoise Caron, Bertrand Duchaufour, Dora Baghriche, Martin Gras, Raymond Chaillan, Francoise Caron, Benoist Lapouza, Nathalie Lorson, Olivier Cresp, Daniel Moliere and Christine Nagel.
