A complex and laborious process turns flax into linen. This created material is so valuable that the ancient Egyptians used it as currency. A tradition related to the value of linen was to wrap mummies in the material. Linen symbolized light and purity to the Egyptians, as well as a display of wealth.

Demeter launched Linen perfume in 2015. The heavy sillage combines perfectly with the light fragrance. Moderate longevity allows the scent to last all day and into the evening.
