Eau De Protection Perfume by Etat Libre D'orange, A fresh spicy rose scent made in collaboration with the Spanish actress Rossy de Palma, Eau De Protection is a unisex fragrance that was launched in 2009 by Etat Libre d’Orange. Ginger, Madagascan black pepper, and bergamot make up the top notes, with the middle heart notes of luscious Bulgarian rose, geranium, and jasmine mingling with a blood accord. Base notes are patchouli, benzoin, incense, and cocoa. A dark, sultry rose scent that shines particularly well in warmer weather.
With a name that means “Free State of Orange,” Etat Libre d’Orange was founded in France in 2006 by native South African Etienne de Swardt and is known for its unusual, nonconformist fragrances. From the names of their perfumes to the unique blends of scent notes used, the niche brand breaks through barriers and tosses traditional expectations to the wind. Their perfumes inspired by celebrities such as Tilda Swinton and the Sex Pistols are particularly well-known.
