Extreme Purete Perfume by Gres, An aromatic ode to the draped dresses of Gres founder Germaine Emilie Krebs, Extreme Purete is an oriental fougere perfume.
Top notes of bergamot and fig leaf open the fragrance with their fresh soapiness. This refreshing introduction contrasts beautifully with the soothing smoky heart notes of tobacco and cinnamon. Base notes of cedar, myrrh, tonka bean and vanilla melt together to produce a lingering, soft sweetness that adds to the fragrance’s heavy sillage. Moderately long-lasting, the fragrance is feminine and elegant, appropriate for wear by women of all ages. Its complexity captures the weight and texture of fabric and lends itself well to evening wear in the fall and winter months.
The title French fragrance house released the perfume in 2017. Karine Debreuil is the nose behind the fragrance. A native of Grasse, the French perfumer has created perfumes and colognes for brands as diverse as Bentley, Celine Dion, Ferrari, Gucci and Lalique.
