In 1961, Giorgio Beverly Hills was founded by Fred and Gayle Hayman. The American brand released their first fragrance in 1981 and has made a total of 24 fragrances. Hayman was originally in the hotel business but left to open a luxury boutique in California.

The boutique became a hot spot for celebrities and wealthy locals, containing a full bar and rooms for reading and billiards. The brand’s first fragrance was wildly popular and is now owned and produced by Avon. Currently, Elizabeth Arden holds the licenses for all fragrances from the brand.
