Spanish fashion designer Jesus Del Pozo was an artist and fashion designer who played a key part in the movement that coincided with his country's transition to democracy from a previous dictatorship.

His influence was key in the modernization of Spanish style as part of the change in social values. As a designer, Del Pozo advocated fashion that was adaptive and flexible, rejecting uniformity and promoting the positive. Among other awards and honors, in 1998 he became the first fashion designer to receive the Gold Medal for Merit in the Fine Arts.
