Hanae Mori Perfume by Hanae Mori, First released in 1996, Hanae Mori is a sweet, ethereal woody oriental fragrance whose rich vanilla accords are created by an artful fusion of fruits, florals and almonds.

The top notes are brief and bright, blending tart and tangy blackcurrant, blueberry and blackberry with jam-sweet strawberry tones. Powdery clean and subtly intoxicating florals of red rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang and peony emerge as the scent warms on the skin. The final dry down mingles soft sandalwood, rosewood and light cedar with hazy almond nuances to produce a sumptuous vanilla finish.

Madame Hanae Mori was the first Japanese woman to send her designs down the runways of New York and Paris. She opened her tiny Tokyo boutique in the 1950s, offering chic designs in boldly carefree colors. Her perfume brand was launched in 1996. Each fragrance under the label is inspired by Mori's unique flair for blending Eastern and Western aesthetics. Brand perfumes were made in collaboration with designer Bernard Ellena.
