Ombre Indigo Perfume by Olfactive Studio, Steeped in mystery and allure, Ombre Indigo weaves an accord of woody, smoky and animalic notes into what can only be described as the scent of shadows. Saffron, plum and tuberose beguile the senses from the start, leading into olibanum that draws the wearer in to be wrapped within vetiver and leather.

The base notes - benzoin, musk and ambergris - then bring the sense deep down into comforting warmth all evening. The complex fragrance, released in 2014, comes as a vivid indigo liquid in a heavy glass flacon, packaged with a striking portrait on the front that mirrors its olfactory sensations.

Started in 2011 by Celine Verleure, Olfactive Studio brings perfumers and photographers together in collaboration to create fragrances that are art pieces in themselves. Each scent is inspired by a portrait or still-life piece, which is displayed on the front of the packaging. This novel technique brings forth modern compositions that evoke vivid images of the natural world.
