Oud Save The King by Atkinsons, Launched in 2013, Oud Save the King is an oriental cologne for men.
This masculine fragrance was designed by master perfumer Amandine Clerc-Marie and comes in a sophisticated gold flacon with black tags. Sensual agarwood (oud) and sandalwood make up the strong base notes that resonate through the cologne. The heart notes consist of rich suede leathery accords and powdery orris root absolute. The top notes contain the fragrant, herbal Earl Grey Tea and fresh, citrusy bergamot.
Founded in London, England in 1799, Atkinsons started out as a perfume and soap shop before Atkinson himself became the royal perfumer in 1826. James Atkinson, the founder, was known for his best selling product, a hair pomade made with bear grease, and for traveling from his hometown of Cumberland to London with detailed recipes for all his toiletries and a real bear. The famous perfume house has since moved its headquarters to Italy and operates under the parent company Perfume Holding.
