The opening notes are a lively, lightly peppery and piquant blend of citrus and green herbal accords, mingling basil leaf, sparkling mandarin orange and the superbly clean, pure floral nuances of lemon verbena. As the tart-sweet tones of the introduction begin to settle, warm white florals emerge: a deliciously redolent blend of delicately aromatic African orange blossom and honeyed neroli. Base notes of cedar and Brazilian rosewood anchor and balance the brightness of the introduction, producing a cozy amber finish that soothes the senses.
Bois D'Orange was first released in 2009 by the old French fragrance house Roger & Gallet. Founded in 1862, this venerable company continues to offer luxury bath and body products, home scents and exquisite personal fragrances for women and men.
