Rumeur Perfume by Lanvin, Rumeur by Lanvin is an elegant combination of floral and musky accords.
The very first version of this fragrance was introduced in 1934, but the most recent iteration was introduced in 2006. It is a refined, romantic fragrance that is wonderful for either day or evening wear. The fragrance opens with magnolia, a soft but intense floral with a bit of citrus edge. The scent then moves to the heart, with floral notes of rose, jasmine and lily-of-the-valley, as well as juicy orange. The fragrance closes with notes of patchouli and musk, grounding the white floral notes with some depth and earthiness.
Lanvin is the oldest operating French fashion house, founded in 1889 by Jeanne-Marie Lanvin. Although she began as a children’s clothing company, she quickly expanded her range to include, and eventually focus on, women’s clothing. The brand became renowned for using trimming and embellishments in light colors, as well as its distinctly Parisian aesthetic. Jeanne-Marie eventually expanded her company to include fragrances, menswear, home décor and furs. The company released its first fragrance in 1924.
