Sandalo E The by Bois 1920, Sandalo e The is a woody aromatic women’s perfume with fresh spicy, green, and citrus main accords. Launched in 2005, this fragrance was created by perfumer Enzo Galardi.

The scent opens with top notes of tea, lemon, rosemary, caraway, orange, and lavender. The middle notes are rose, jasmine, cedar, geranium, patchouli, and hyacinth. Base notes of sandalwood, tobacco, and myrrh end this work. Best for fall day wear, the fragrance has moderate longevity and sillage.

Bois 1920 was initially a company founded by Guido Galardi in 1920, specializing in formulas made from Florence lavender. “Bois” is an acronym for Bottega Italiana Spigo, which translates to “Italian Lavender Workshop.” This company ceased operations in 1925. In 2005, Galardi’s grandson, Enzo, who had twenty years of experience in the perfumer industry at this point, relaunched the company as a niche perfume house with the intent of reinterpreting his grandfather’s formulas, using raw materials.
