So De La Renta Perfume by Oscar De La Renta, Launched in 2012, So De La Renta is a refreshing scent for women that smells of the tropics on a bright day.
The perfume was designed with the expertise of perfumer Ilias Ermandis. It contains fruity notes of clementine, watermelon, mango and kiwi, which are joined by cardamom, freesia and gardenia. The scent’s deliciously sweet center consists of peony, narcissus, white lotus and jasmine sambac. The end notes include bourbon vanilla, musk, plum and wood, which offer the perfume a pleasurable woody aroma.
When he was only 18, Oscar de la Renta left his home in the Dominican Republic to study painting and art in Madrid, at the Academy of San Fernando. While still in Spain, he worked for Cristobal Balenciago, one of Spain’s top designers. Later, de la Renta went to Paris and worked for Antonio Castillo, head of Lanvin. He even designed for Elizabeth Arden in New York, before developing an award-winning brand of his own.
