Zen Gold Elixir Perfume by Shiseido, Zen Gold Elixir is an Oriental floral women’s perfume with patchouli, floral, white floral, warm spicy, and amber main accords.
It has moderate sillage and longevity and is best worn on fall and winter days. Perfumer Michel Almairac of Robertet created this scent in 2013. Fruity top notes of grapefruit, bergamot, pineapple, and peach start this fragrance, then moves on to middle notes of jasmine, rose, and magnolia. Amber, vanilla, patchouli, cedar, and white musk base notes finish this fragrance.
Shiseido was founded in 1872 by Arinobu Fukuhara as a Western-style pharmacy in Tokyo, Japan. After visiting the United States, Fukuhara added a soda fountain, which became a restaurant, and is credited with introducing the Japanese to ice cream. The brand launched a face powder with seven colors in 1917, which was considered radical at a time when white face powder was common. The first fragrance was also launched in the same year.
